Regional Council
Regional Council - an executive body acting within the province of regional autonomy; prepares proposals and documents to be discussed by the Assembly. Council powers: to manage and audit regional finance under the approved budget, to appoint and dismiss heads of departments, to establish Council committees, to issue statutes on behalf of the Region, to decide on property right matters, etc.
Council of the Moravian-Silesian Region - consists of 11 members, convenes in closed meetings under the Law. Regional Authority director attends Council meetings having one advisory vote.
