Director of the Moravian-Silesian Regional Authority

Dr. Jaroslav Soural

He studied the Pedagogical Faculty at the University of Ostrava. He obtained the academic degree at the University of Komenský in Bratislava.

During 1976–1990 he worked as an university teacher.
During 1990–1996 he was a member of the Czech National Council and a member of the Parliament of the Czech Republic (member of the Committee for Science, Education, Culture, Youth and Sport; Deputy Chairman of the Permanent Parliament Commission for the Media).
During 1997–1998 he worked as a manager in private sector.
From 1998 he has been working in public service:

• 1998–1999  Director of the Public Relations Department, Ministry of Education, Youth and Sport
• 1999–2002  First Deputy Minister, Ministry of Education, Youth and Sport
• 2002–2006  Director, Cabinet of the Head of the Government Office of the Czech Republic
• 2006–2008  Director, Internal Security Department of the Government Office of the Czech Republic
• 2008–2011  Head of the President’s Office of the Moravian-Silesian Regional Authority

He obtained the Certificate of the National Security Authority for the degree of secrecy "Secret". He is not a member of any political party.
