The Native House of S. Freud in Pøíbor

Sigmund Freud was born in a Moravian Jewish family. He only lived in Pøíbor for three years of his rich and eventful life. Maybe these were the three years in Pøíbor which unconsciously influenced the scientific growth of the founder of psychoanalysis. The world-famous physician, psychiatrist and neurologist based his method of treatment on the technique of free association and the interpretation of dreams. His psychological school significantly influenced the development in this field. How important to our life our dreams are, consciously or unconsciously mapping our childhood wrongs and successes, is now known throughout the whole world.
