Štramberk Trúba
The Upper and the Lower Suburb – burgher houses on the square – most of them were built in the 1st half of the 19th century. In the course of centuries a big picturesque suburb (the Upper and the Lower Bastions) has risen there. It is the most valuable part of the town monument preserve – the preserved timbered houses were mostly built in the 2nd half of the 18th and the 1st part of the 19th century. (The Upper Bastion – 18 timbered houses, a preserved bastion of the town fortification, one of the preserved stations of the Calvary, so called Prokop´s Chapel) Buildings are terraced-grouped on rocky slopes. For its ancient character Štramberk was declared the town monument preserve. Thanks to its natural beauty, unique archaeological and architectural monuments, Štramberk is one of the most sought after places of the Nový Jičín region.
