Frýdek-Místek Chateau

The exposition on the history, ethnography and countryside of the region. More than 2,000 social-science and natural science collection artefacts document the history and the present of the Beskydy Region. It offers examples of crafts, equipment of a farmstead, a shoe-maker´s, a weaver´s and a dress-maker´s workshop, a blacksmith´s, the Frýdlant art cast-iron, pottery from the Tošanovice workshop, the interior of a Beskydy cottage, documents characteristic for the social life in the 19th century, a mobile wooden model of a Silesian village, etc. in thirteen rooms. The natural science exposition which characterizes the basic biotope of the region includes an extensive collection of birds, mammals and fish.
