Hradec nad Moravicí Chateau
Hradec nad Moravicí forms an entrance gate to the picturesque valley of the Moravice River and its dominant is a complex of the White and the Red Chateaus with a widespread adjacent park. The older building, the so called White Chateau stands at the place of a Slavonic fortification from the 8th century, where a Přemysl counts´ castle was built in the 11th – the 13th centuries. The Renaissance chateau with a pleasure garden was rebuilt at the end of the 16th century. The chateau gained the present Empire appearance after a fire in 1796, when it was rebuilt according to the design of Jan Mihatsch.
