Žerotín Chateau in Nový Jičín

This Renaissance chateau in the centre of Nový Jičín was built at the place of an older Gothic town castle in the 16th century. Nowadays, it is the seat of the Nový Jičín Region Museum with an exposition on the development of hat fashion and the history of the town. The exhibits include the hats of important figures (e.g. A. Jirásek, F. Palacký). Regular museum exhibitions are held in the historical halls of the chateau.
